COVID-19 LATAM Update and Rescheduling Travel
First, I want to thank all of our amazing agent partners who have been very helpful, patient and understanding during this evolving pandemic. The next step is helping us with cancellations and rescheduling. Everything is changing day to day, and this is an unprecedented world situation. We share your concerns keeping our clients and our own families safe as well and creating distance with public gatherings and travel, together we will all get through this.
COVID-19 LATAM Update:
Unlike their counterparts in Europe and in the United States, governments in Latin America are not waiting for hundreds of cases of the wide spreading Coronavirus before they institute travel bans, among other mitigation policies. While the number of Coronavirus cases in Latin America remains relatively low, the decision has been made over the past few days from all countries accept Brazil to close its borders to all international incoming travel.
Our team has experienced in the past social struggles, natural disasters, and similar health scares, and we have always worked together with our partners to make the best of our client’s travel plans and continue to keep our traveler’s best interests at heart.
If you have guests currently booked with flights and land within the next 60 days, we may have already reached out as we are addressing the most urgent travelers en route or soon to depart to reschedule. If you clients are booked with from June on-ward please contact us and ask your clients for some options of alternative dates for Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 that the client may be interested in for rescheduling.
