Day 1 - Saturday - Arrive to San Cristobal / Breeding Center (San Cristobal)

A.M. Arrive to San Cristobal San Cristobal is home to a small town, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, and the Junco Lagoon, located 700 meters above sea level. El Junco has been the object of a study in which the sediments on the bottom of the lake were analyzed to uncover information about the vegetation and climate of the archipelago thousands of years ago. P.M. Breeding Center (San Cristobal) The Breeding Center is a new visitor site in the northeast part of San Cristobal Island and can now be reached in roughly one hour by road from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. On the trees and shrubs surrounding the site, you may see land birds like warblers, finches and mockingbirds, and giant tortoises can be observed along the trail. They live there wild but in a protected area to assure their survival by sealing them off from introduced predators like pigs and goats. Once the tortoise perceives danger, it goes into its defensive stance retreating into its hard shell.

Day 2 - Sunday - Suarez Point / Gardner Bay

A.M. Suarez Point Suarez Point is great for spotting blue-footed boobies, albatrosses and Nazca boobies. A beautiful site on the ocean front, the large waved albatrosses use the cliff as a launching pad. The famous attraction is the magnificent blowhole, spurting water high into the air. This site presents wonderful photograph opportunities. P.M. Gardner Bay Gardner Bay, on the eastern side of the island, is the breeding site of nearly all of the world´s 12,000 pairs of Waved Albatrosses. It has an ample white sandy beach with a myriad of sea lions, perfect for relaxing. Its rocky shores make this site a great place for diving and snorkeling.

Day 3 - Monday - Floreana: Cormorant Point - Post Office Bay

A.M. Floreana: Cormorant Point The Cormorant Point hosts a large flamingo lagoon where other birds such as common stilts and white-cheeked pintails can also be seen. The beaches on this island are distinct: The Green Beach is named so due to its green color, which comes from a high percentage of olivine crystals in the sand, and the Four Sand Beach is composed of white coral. P.M. Post Office Bay In the 18th century, whalers passing through the islands placed a wooden barrel on Floreana Island for use as an unofficial mail box. The tradition continues today as visitors leave addressed postcards in the barrel and sort through left mail to deliver at home.

Day 4 - Tuesday - Mosquera Islet - Return to Mainland

A.M. Mosquera Islet The Mosquera Islet, Lcated between the islands of Baltra and North Seymour, this reef of rocks and coral (the result of an uprising) is only 160 meters across at its narrowest width. This island has one of the largest populations of sea lions and is home to many shorebirds. There have been occasional reports at this site of Orcas feeding on sea lions. P.M. Return to Mainland - Transfer to the Baltra Airport
