Iguazú Falls News - Devils Throat & New Hotels

We’re thrilled to announce that the iconic Devil’s Throat Trail at Iguazú Falls National Park (on the Argentine side) has officially reopened late summer. The trail, closed since October 2023 due to the devastating effects of a historic flood, is now fully operational, allowing visitors to once again experience one of the most breathtaking viewpoints of the falls.

Following the repairs and upgrades to the trail, visitors will enjoy enhanced safety features and improved infrastructure, ensuring a safer and more comfortable experience. This reopening marks a return to one of the must-visit spots for anyone traveling to the region.

To access the Devil's Throat, visitors take a scenic train ride from the Visitor Center to the Devil’s Throat Station. From there, it’s a short 550-meter (1,800 feet) walk to the viewpoint. The trail features a metal walkway suspended over the river, passing through small islands and lush Atlantic Forest, offering stunning views of fish, turtles, and other local wildlife.

In addition to the Devil’s Throat, there are two other fantastic panoramic circuits within the park: the Upper Circuit, which provides a close-up view of several falls, and the Lower Circuit, which meanders along the riverbank. With the reopening of the Devil's Throat Trail, we highly recommend the Full Day Argentine Side Tour for visitors wanting a comprehensive experience at Iguazú Falls National Park.
