Brazil Romance Tour

There's no better place than Brazil for romance!

Brazil Romance Tour

$2960

per person

This 8-day honeymoon tour features two of Brazil’s most desirable destinations, Rio de Janeiro and Buzios.

Rio, the “Marvelous City,”” synonymous with the girl from Ipanema and the dramatic Pão d’Açucar (Sugarloaf) Mountain, is a city of stunning architecture, good museums, exciting nightlife, vibrant beaches, warm people, and wonderful food.

Rio is good for tourism all year around. Summer goes from December to February, but you will find the best weather between March and May, when the sun shines all the time, without the terrible summer heat and the rain. The best beaches to visit, if you like people watching, are Ipanema, Copacabana and Leblon. The ocean water is cleaner from Barra da Tijuca on.

Then on to Buzios just 3 hours by private transfer, known as Brazil’s St. Tropez or Greek Islands because of the fishing villiage meets chic atmosphere. Buzios was made famous when it was discovered by Europeans through their iconic “it” girl of the day Brigitte Bardot, who frolicked with a local handsome Brazilian for about 5 mins, which folklore grew to “years and years.”

Buzios boosts 26 great beaches, all within a few kilometers of the old downtown. Though small in size, the city is considered to be one of the best in Brazil for dining out, with over 20 quality restaurants, some of which are rated among the countries finest. A night out on Rua das Pedras is the place to be. But away from the “action”, it is still a quiet little fishing village.

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro

After lunch, you'll take a jeep tour through the lush Tijuca Floresta rain forest, a tour which shows off the exoticness (cultural and natural) of the most beautiful city in the world. The open jeep will give you a better view of the contrast between the ocean and the forest and between the luxurious condominiums and the favelas (shantytown) of Rio. With the help of an ecological guide, you will learn about the ecosystem of the Mata Atlantica and the flora and fauna that grows within. At night your guide will take you around to experience Rio's nightlife as a real carioca, enjoying a good beer and dancing to Brazilian Rhythms.

Our tours are 100% flexible and will be based on your personal interests. Let us suggest a visit to Sugar Loaf, the landmark that is reached by cable car followed by a visit to one of the world's seven wonders, the Corcovado, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer stands with its arms wide opened blessing the whole city, and why not a visit to bohemic Santa Teresa?

Day 4: Rio de Janeiro & Buzios

Morning private transfer to Buzios, you'll embark on a scenic drive up the coast to Buzios, where you will stay at either the brand new Insolito chic boutique hotel, or Casas Brancas, a refined Mediterranean style inn overlooking the stunning bay of Buzios, or the hip, chic, and romantic master suite at Vila D'Este, the bed and breakfast right next doors, near the center of town, close to the nightlife, restaurants, and its more than 26 beaches. The best way to spend your days here is exploring these little gems, and snacking at any one of the many beach kiosks, all offering plates of fresh anchovy, shrimp and squid. The city's numerous charms have waylaid dozens of foreign visitors since Brigitte Bardot's first promenade in the 60s. She may have left but many others have stayed, opening inns, restaurants, and bars and providing Buzios with an international air. Relax in a hammock, or listen to live jazz at one of the local hot spots. Wind down, relax, breath in the sophisticated atmosphere, you've arrived in paradise.
